At Stourbridge MOT you will be receiving the best prices locally on tyres for practically any make and model of vehicle.

To help with your choice, tyres are broken down into 3 categories dependant on their quality and cost. These 3 categories are budget, Mid-Range and Premium and as their name suggests the three groups vary in quality and cost. Depending on how often you use your car and your driving style, choosing the best option between the 3 can be a calculated and cost-effective decision.

Here is our guide to help you choose which category of tyre is best for you.

Budget Tyre -  Landsail, Sailwin, Goodride, Davanti

Is money tight? Are you changing your vehicle soon? Do you only do low speed local journeys? Maybe this vehicle is a second car and not used too much. If this sounds like you, then a budget tyre may be the best choice for you. However, these tyres will wear out quicker than mid-range and premium tyres so if you use your car everyday or at higher speeds, choosing a budget tyre is a bit of a false economy.

Mid-Range Tyre -  Avon, Firestone, Kumho, Hankook

These tyres are more durable than budget tyres, but they will not withstand as much and don’t perform as well as premium tyres. These tyres are a good option if you drive fairly frequently but don’t put too much demand on your vehicle. They are slightly more expensive than budget tyres but you do get a lot more for your money.

Premium Tyre -  Goodyear, Continental, Bridgestone, Pirelli, Dunlop, Michelin

As you might expect, these tyres are the most expensive but what you get back for that price is a set of tyres that can endure the harshest conditions and the most demanding driving. These tyres perform well in both wet and dry conditions and will withstand the most demanding driving styles, such as high speeds and long journeys - even rally driving for example.
