TPMS Sensor
Replace faulty TPMS sensors and recalibrate your system for accurate tyre pressure monitoring.
Service Description
Your vehicle’s TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System) is designed to keep you safe by constantly monitoring the air pressure in your tyres. If the pressure drops too low or the system detects a fault, a warning light will appear on your dashboard. This system helps prevent dangerous driving conditions, improves fuel efficiency, and reduces unnecessary tyre wear. Each wheel normally contains a small electronic TPMS sensor mounted inside the tyre, usually attached to the valve. These sensors measure tyre pressure and transmit the information to your vehicle’s onboard computer. Over time, however, these sensors can fail. Most TPMS sensors contain a small battery sealed inside the unit, and these batteries typically last 5–10 years before they stop working. When this happens, the system can no longer provide accurate readings. You may need a TPMS sensor replacement and calibration if: * Your TPMS warning light stays on permanently * Your dashboard shows a TPMS fault message * One or more tyres do not display pressure readings * A sensor has been damaged during tyre removal or wheel repair * The sensor battery has reached the end of its lifespan *You have recently replaced wheels or tyres and the system needs relearning During this repair, the faulty TPMS sensor is removed from inside the wheel and replaced with a new one. The tyre is then refitted and balanced if required. After installation, we use specialist diagnostic equipment to program and calibrate the new sensor to your vehicle, ensuring it communicates correctly with the car’s system. Once completed, the TPMS warning light will reset and your vehicle will once again be able to accurately monitor tyre pressures in real time. Keeping this system working properly helps maintain safer driving conditions, better tyre life, and improved fuel economy. If you are seeing a TPMS warning or suspect a sensor fault, it’s best to have it checked promptly to ensure your tyres are being monitored correctly.
